CO-OP INTERNSHIP PROJECT

This work is under NDA. Hence, limited information can be disclosed.

Since fall, I have been focused on the design execution and strategy for Colgate's Generative AI tool. To improve employee engagement, I developed solutions guided by user research and business goals, creating a personalized experience for accessing essential internal tools and information.

PLATFORM OVERVIEW

The product is an internal Gen AI platform designed to empower employees with seamless access to enterprise information and tools while offering a more personalized experience tailored to individual needs

The goal of the product is to enhance productivity and engagement by streamlining workflows across teams. Our challenge was to ensure the platform's adoption by creating a governance framework that addressed privacy, security, and usability concerns. This was critical because effective governance directly impacts employee trust and the efficient use of enterprise data.

My efforts focused on designing an intuitive experience that balanced security with accessibility, making it easier for employees to leverage AI-powered tools in their daily tasks.

MY ROLE

I play a key role in gathering user insights, synthezing them, thus identifying enterprise challenges, and collaborating with teams to design practical solutions

User Research & Insight Gathering

Conducted in-depth research to understand employee needs, pain points, and workflows across various departments. 1 1

Challenge Identification & Prioritization

Analyzed enterprise challenges such as data accessibility, security, and usability to define key focus areas for the platform's design. 11

Collaborative Solution Designing

Worked closely with cross-functional teams to create tailored solutions that address organizational goals while enhancing user engagement and productivity.

IMPACT

Currently in Development

The project is actively being developed, with key features being refined to enhance user experience and engagement.

Potential Increased Adoption Rate

We foresee a 60% increase in adoption rate, driven by the improvements in usability, tailored to meet user needs.

MANAGER'S NOTE

"

She has the ability to understand underlying user problems when evaluating a product or design solution. I witnessed this first-hand as she analyzed & synthesized usability study data. Rather than just identifying a functional problem with the design, she was able to frame the problem in terms of user needs and goals, which enabled us to think more broadly, and deeply about possible solutions. This helped us step outside of the current solution to find a more effective approach.

As a teammate, one of the things I appreciated most about Sakshi is her open-mindedness. As a result, she was extremely easy to coach and she was comfortable exploring a wide range of possible design solutions. Rather than being biased by preconceptions about the “right” solution, she has demonstrated that she can change her mind when presented with new evidence or reasoning. To me, this is one of the most important qualities of someone working in an evidenced-based practice like User Experience.

Because of her open-mindedness and ability to think critically about user needs, I am confident that Sakshi will be an asset to your team and organization.
